  I definitely understand your disdain for political bias - especially when it comes to our justice system. But I don't think that's the case when it comes to the origins of Mueller's investigation. Allow me to give you two pieces of information that may change your mind:

  • 1.) It did NOT begin with the Steele Dossier. Rather, the investigation began in May of 2016 when George Papadopoulos was bragging to an Australian official about how the Russians had political dirt on Hillary Clinton.   Mueller is an honorable man and a dead serious prosecutor. He will give no leniency nor quarter to political bias.

  Honestly, I don't know why you're calling them "my people" but I strongly believe that no one should be above the law. And, regardless of political party, everyone should be held to the same legal standard.

  I think we can all agree that calling Secretary Clinton ugly doesn't make President Trump any prettier. And, if it came out that Hillary committed some horrible crime - it would in no way exonerate Donald from the vast and sprawling legal problems he currently faces.

  Let's not forget, Nixon didn't order the break in to the Watergate building. But he did get nailed for obstruction of justice while trying to protect his cronies.

  I think, at the very least, the same thing will happen with Trump - even if there's not a clear cut case that Trump was in on the conspiracy - Trump will still get crucified for having tried to interfere in the investigation with corrupt intent.

  And, beyond the Special Counsels Office, Trump still faces tremendous legal jeopardy for a whole host of issues including:

  • Violations of Campaign Finance laws (with regards to the porn stars he paid off)
  • Violations of Campaign Finance laws (with regards to his Inauguration Committee)
  • Violations of the Emoluments Clause
  • Money laundering through his non-profit Trump Foundation
  • and tax evasion and bank fraud through the Trump Organisation

  I'm sure I'm missing a few more - but you get the point. Trump's legal woes don't end with Mueller.

  Trump just said that people who hold signs saying "resist" can't even say what they're resisting.

  This guys so out of touch with the American people it's absurd. He needs to stop golfing and he needs to START engaging with the American people. This is what happens when someone who's never worked a hard day's work in his life gets into office and can't be bothered to read a single briefing.

  The people are resisting a President that habitually spouts fake news.

  They're resisting an administration that constantly lies.

  They're resisting the toxic political environment Trump has created.

  They're resisting his expanding swamp in Washington.

  They're resisting racism, sexism, and cultural intolerance.

  They're resisting the class warfare that has been waged on the poor and the middle class. They're resisting so many things. It's time for Trump to wake up because their's NOT going to be a civil war. There's going to be a blue wave going to knock the Republican party out of power for the next decade or two.

  You seem to be the one who is inflamed. What news channel have you been watching? Maybe you should switch over & watch something else.

  Agreed. Minimus constantly regurgitates Fox News talking points. Like most on the Right, he can't think for himself. He needs a single network to reinforce his views and tell him what to think. It would do him well to start reading his news instead of listening to a bunch of hotheads full of hot air being triggered all the time.

  Remember that time Fox news had a meltdown when Obama wore a tan suit? I'm sure Minimus blew his stack over that too. 11 is no longer high enough on the scale. Now he's talking about civil wars. The right has gone completely off the rails.

  i'm being serious, i would like to hear from folks here that support him describe to me how that news conference was absolute brilliance, he answered all the questions, he knows what he is talking about.

  just want to compare note with those who aren't his supporters (and have common sense) as you know this forum is here to hear both sides, so, have at it .

  The economy was booming under Obama. What Trump has done in the past year is less than one tenth of the amazing economic gain Obama did under his first year. Trump is a total failure. The economy is moving at a snails pace. And income growth is completely stagnant.

  We need real economic leadership in this country. The sooner we get Republicans out of power the sooner we can start seeing a booming economy again. The Republicans are good for lots of things - but the economy is not one of them. The economy has always done MUCH better under Democrats.

  i was commenting on another thread about how local kh attendance is down.

  memorial attendance was also way down and the circuit assembly had hundreds less people than what is typical.

  Figures now compared to 10 , 15 or 20 years ago are the only benchmarks you should go on otherwise its just a waste of time.

  I don't agree with this at all. We should NOT compare numbers from 20 years ago because the WT has changed it's metrics. In order to inflate their numbers, they now consider 15min a month an "active" publisher.

  It's also worth pointing out that there has been a CONSIDERABLE push to get teens and pre-teens baptized. Once again, this has been done to try and inflate their numbers.

  Comparing numbers only works if the metrics for that comparison are identical. In the case of peak publishers and number baptized - those metrics have be laxed considerably. People that would never of been counted before are now being added to the books.

  So Even Mount Everest should have been under water. How did the People and species inside the ark breathe then ? To my understanding we need breathing equipment to breathe beyond a certain Altitude.

  There are MANY reasons the global flood is absurd. But I don't really think this is a fair criticism. If the earth were to be covered in water than the atmosphere would naturally stay above that water. Or, to put it another way, Noah's altitude would've been sea level.
  

  If your looking for absurdity, consider that the Egyptians, Sumarians, Harrapans, and the Chinese all failed to notice that they got wiped out by Yawehs incompetence. They all have a written history and governments that predate the flood and have continuity after the flood.

  Or the fact that the pyridamids, constructed hundreds of years before the supposed flood, show no signs of water damage or decay.

  Or the fact that we have trees still around today that were alive before the time of Noah - like this bristle cone pine here in Northern CA:
  
  

  Etc. A global flood 4,000 years ago is pure mythology refuted by geology, stratigraphy, geophysics, paleontology, biology, anthropology, and archaeology . . . just to name a few.
